Here is a BBC report on a survey that found out what all of us working with kids on the internet already knew but always had to defend against pessimistic educators: using technology actually helps kids to improve or at least practice their reading and writing skills …. it is the same discussion I often have when colleagues tell me that reading from a computer screen does not have the same results as reading from a “real” book – well.. not for them.. but for most kids it has!
